Apollo 11 Saturn V Launch
Continuing my space travel thread, here’s a video captured by camera E-8 as the Saturn V rocket left to take the first men to the moon. The video was amazingly shot at 500 frames per second and its 8+ minutes here translates to about 30 realtime seconds. Love it. via Zack Lieberman via @shakermaker341
Carina Nebula Video
This is a zoom into the Carina Nebula, where thousands of stars are born from primeval gas and dust. The zoom sequence centers on a giant tower of cool hydrogen. Stars are forming inside this incubator and fire off jets of material. I’m really loving the NASA Goddard Photo and Video Flickr stream. This and [...]

Fulton Landing Warehouse – Lynn Saville

Bethesda Terrace
Bethesda Terrace is one of my favorite places in Central Park. The way I like to approach it is from The Mall just to the South. Coming up from The Mall, you walk through the space detailed in the second picture above. The Terrace then opens up to you providing a view of The Lake [...]
Illumine
A photo I’m happy with ↑↑ I’ve been shooting tons this year. It started with the lenswork over the holiday, most of which you still haven’t seen, and has kept up through to today. Many people have heard of the soon to be launched photo site that’ll present my work in a better format, but [...]
Vertigo 5878
Vertigo 5878, originally uploaded by Adam_T4. This image by Adam_T4 has been posted through the “Blog This” feature in Flickr. This image has again got me thinking about multiple exposures. While I was often shooting with my EOS 3, I’d inadvertently load a roll of film that I’d already partly exposed. I was often switching [...]
Brooklyn Bridge & DUMBO
Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is a must. In my opinion, the way to do it properly, is to start in DUMBO; the neighborhood itself is very much worth doing. DUMBO is an acronym for “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass.” It was mainly inhabited by artists 10 years ago. Most of the buildings were [...]
